Here’s a step-by-step guide to using the pencil method for fingerprinting:
1. Shade a small area of an unlined index card with a #2 pencil to create a patch of graphite.
2. Roll your right thumb over the graphite patch, ensuring it's well coated.
3. Place a piece of cellophane tape, sticky side up, on a flat surface.
4. Press your graphite-coated thumb onto the tape to transfer the fingerprint.
5. Carefully peel the tape off to lift the fingerprint from your thumb.
6. Stick the tape with the fingerprint onto an unlined index card in the designated space.
7. Once all prints are done, take a clear, well-lit photo (in natural light without shadows) and email it to us at info@se-luna.com.
8. Keep the original fingerprints after taking the photo, as we may need them to ensure the image quality is suitable for engraving.
